2)  Q

How can parents see what their child should be working on in each class?

A
Parents can check several places to see what their student's should be working on. One is through the Parent Connect, which allows a parent to log into a secure website and see their child's grades and assignments. If you haven't already signed up for this, please click here  and read through the information on this service. Another place to look for the scope and sequence of what is being taught is in the district curriculum maps, although these are not actual teacher lesson plans. The maps provide the details of what each subject, by grade level, is covering in each six week grading period. To access these maps from the LPISD homepage:
1. Click on the link for DataDriven on the right under AccessLPISD.
2. Click on any of the colored squares.
3. In the Login box type:
parent and in the password box type: parent12345
4. Click on the blue blue for the grade level you want to see.
5. Click on the blue book for the subject you want to see.
6. Click on the blue book that reads
YEAR.
7. Click on the TEXT of the blue sheet for the six weeks that you want to see.
8. The curriculum map for each area will appear in the pane on the right side of the screen.
