The American Sign Language Club will be having its next meeting: Next Tuesday at 2:40PM or Wednesday at 8:00AM in Room 97. We will be discussing the upcoming Health and Safety Fair fundraiser. Whether you’re an ASL class member, or you’re just interested in helping out with our club, come and join us! All are welcome!
Yesterday the Varsity volleyball team competed in the first day of the Santa Fe Tournament. They beat Angleton in 2 games, scores were 23-13, 25-11. The next game they played was against Barbers Hill. It was a complete team effort for the girls to pull out the win in three games, scores were 12-25, 25-17, 25-20, improving their record to 7-4 overall. Tonight the volleyball teams will travel to Eisenhower and on Saturday the Varsity will compete in the second part of the Santa Fe Tournament and the JV and Freshmen A teams will compete in the Alvin Sub Varsity Tournaments.
The 2009-2010 yearbooks will be handed out before school and after school in Room 10.
Varsity football tickets will be on sale in the Student Center every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday during all lunches. Tickets are $3.00. They are $5.00 at the gate.
Seniors: Please do not park in someone else’s spot. If someone is in your spot, notify security.

There will be a sign up this Wednesday morning from 8:30 to 8:50 in room 202 for all old and new Heritage Club members.
H.O.P.E. will have its first meeting today, August 31 in Ms. Scharchburg’s room, Room 26, @ 2:40. All are welcome to join and earn community service hours!
Habla meeting tomorrow morning at 8:45 in Ms Boussattach’s room. Everyone is welcome.
Freshmen, sophomores and juniors – don’t forget! Pictures tomorrow and Thursday. Teachers and staff – pictures in the student center Wednesday and Thursday.
FCA will have their kick Off Meeting Wednesday morning at 8:20 in room 95. Mr. Ben from Bayshore will be the speaker. Come out and eat donuts and order your FCA shirt.
Attention seniors: The top King and Queen candidates are posted in several areas. Please take a moment to check out the list. All seniors will be given an opportunity to cast their votes for their eight favorite guys and eight favorite girls in English classes this Wednesday and Thursday. If you have DE English you will cast your votes during your lunch time on those days. All votes must be cast by the end of the day Thursday. Be sure to bring your ID with you if you are voting during lunch. Again, all homecoming court voting must be done this week by the end of the day this Thursday.
Pink Night shirts will be on sale to students during all three lunches through Thursday. Shirts are $10.00 and payments are due at time of purchase. The proceeds will go towards improving the athletic training program and help raise breast cancer awareness. Pink night is October 22, North Shore vs. Bulldogs.
National Honor Society will be meeting this Wednesday at 2:30 pm or Thursday at 6:50 am. Everyone needs to be present.
