The varsity girls won the Pharr
Winter Relays last weekend in the Valley. The girls scored 182 points to out
distance Sharyland which posted 159 points. PSJA North had 128, McAllen Nikki
Rowe 124 and Brownsville Rivera 116 in the 16 team meet.
The girls broke five meet records
(only four counted since the 800 medley relay was disqualified for a handoff
violation). Sabrina Starr set the 100 hurdle record at 15.84; Mickeisha Hill
set the 300 Hurdle record at 47.52; the 4x100 Relay of Anna Charles, Miesha
Titus, Divina Garcia and Nioshah Hall set the record at 49.94 and the 4x400
Relay of Anna Charles, Elizabeth Taylor, Divina Garcia and Miesha Titus set the
record at 4:11—12 seconds ahead of the 2nd place
finisher.
