Baker 6th Grade Campus will close for re-construction beginning May 26th through August 13th, 2007. No one will have access to the building during this time.

The office  & summer staff will re-locate to Lomax Jr. High on May 29th.  Calls to Baker will be forwarded to Lomax as well.

La Porte High School will be closed May 29 and May 30 due to asbestos/abatement treatment in the Student Center/Cafeteria. This includes the offices, band hall, vocational building, and athletic offices. No one will have access for any reason into LPHS. Students needing to pick up their diploma will have to wait until the office reopens on May 31st.  Also, students needing to do a course request on these days can either fax the request to the high school, contact their counselor via email, or wait until then the office reopens on May 31st. Course request deadline originally set for June 1st will be extended until June 5th.

All summer LPHS staff will relocate to the JROTC Building on Broadway Street (across from La Porte Elementary) beginning June 7th through August 13th. The athletic offices will relocate to the visitor's dressing room at the Bulldog Stadium. Students needing to pick up their Diploma can pick them up at the JROTC Building during this time.

These closures will not affect the summer athletic camps already scheduled in the main gym.

Finally, due to construction registration will occur on the first day of school. There will be no early registration. Ninth grade students report on August 27th and grades 10-12 on August 28th. Students will register in homeroom on those days. Monitor the LPHS website for additional information regarding registration.
