La Porte Independent School District's Spelling Bee was held Tuesday, February 26th at the Administration Building. The spelling bee went 18 rounds, and winner Christopher Dlouhy had to spell blitzkrieg and then sauerbraten to win first place. Christopher is the son of Felix & Lynnesa Dlouhy and is a 7th grader at Lomax Jr. High. He was also the 1st place winner last year.

The 1st runner up was Tessa Esquivel, the daughter of Anna Esquivel and a 5th grader at Jennie Reid Elementary.
