The Famous Kamas Kids' Signatures in Space poster has finally arrived! Back from the International Space Station, it was a long awaited arrival. In 2002-2003, Mrs. Sharon Kamas's fifth grade class participated in Space Day challenges and coordinated several events for the entire school in celebration of Space Day. The most exciting event was signing the Signatures in Space poster.
The poster, signed by the entire school, was scheduled to fly to the ISS sometime in 2004. Due to the Columbia tragedy, the program was put on hold. Finally, after five long years, their poster is back. The poster will be on display at the Administration building through March 25th, when it will be placed on permanent display at Lomax Elementary. If you attended Lomax Elementary in the 2002-2003 school year, come by and see your signature and learn about the flight your poster took. Don't forget to bring a camera and take your picture!
