Congratulations to the La Porte JV Softball team! The Lady Dawgs won the championship of the Deer Park JV Tournament this past weekend. Highlights of the tournament included a solo homerun by freshman Krystal Villarreal in the first round victory over Santa Fe.  The Lady Dawgs met Clear Creek in the second round and defeated the Wildcats 2-0 behind stellar pitching performances by Ashleigh Brownback and Victoria Brown. In the third round, the Lady Dawgs defeated Deer Park 3-0 to advance to the championship game against Brazoswood. Victoria Brown was the winning pitcher in the championship game, giving up two hits and no runs. The Lady Dawgs defeated the Lady Bucs 4-0, with RBI's from Amanda Brown, Megan Hogan and Victoria Brown. The tournament championship was a total team effort. Congratulations Ladies!
