Yolanda Joseph, first-year PASS (Positive Approach to Student Success) teacher at La Porte Junior High, was named the La Porte ISD Rookie of the Year for 2007-2008.  Ms. Joseph exemplifies the professionalism and high standards which can serve as a model for new teachers entering the teaching profession.  Her dedication to students and commitment to La Porte Junior High teachers and staff have earned her the respect of her peers and the recognition as this year's Rookie of the Year.
