La Porte High School students in automotive technology department enjoy working on new state-of-the art automotive repair equipment made possible by the 2005 bond program. According to instructor Daryl Leonard, the equipment includes a Hunter WA240 Camera System Alignment Machine, along with a 15,000-pound four-post lift and the Snap-on D-Tac Plus Electrical System diagnostic tool. "These are industry standard pieces of equipment found in many of the nation's top repair facilities," Leonard said. "This means our students will learn on the same equipment that they will encounter on the job."
