Dear Parents:
Because the safety of La Porte ISD students is our top priority,
I wanted to make you aware of an incident that occurred this afternoon in a church
parking lot adjacent to Rizzuto Elementary School.
A Rizzuto student was waiting for his parent to pick him up
in the Fairmont Park Church parking lot when a man allegedly tried to abduct
him. The child reported that he bit the
man and then ran away. The incident
occurred at around 3:35 p.m.
The alleged attacker is described as a fair-skinned male in
his late 20's or early 30's, between 5'10" and 6'0" tall, with a medium build
and black hair, wearing a red shirt and blue pants. His vehicle is described as a black
sport-utility vehicle. The La Porte Police Department was immediately contacted
and is actively investigating the case.
We are very thankful that the child was unharmed, and we
hope that you will use this as an opportunity to remind your children of the
importance of safety. Please remind them
to be aware of their surroundings at all times, report suspicious behavior or
vehicles to a trusted adult, and never get into a vehicle with someone they do
not know.

Estimados Padres,
El bien estar de nuestros alumnos es como
siempre, nuestra prioridad y por esto
quiero avisarles de algo que ocurrió esta tarde en la área donde se estacionan
los carros de la iglesia Fairmont Park Church, ensiquida de la escuela primaria
Rizzuto.
Un alumno de Rizzuto estaba esperando a sus
padres que lo iban a recoger después de la escuela. Los estaba esperando donde
se estacionan los carros de la iglesia Fairmont Park cuando un hombre trato de
secuestrar al estudiante. El alumno reporto que mordió el hombre y corrió. Este
incidente ocurrió a las 3:35pm.
El hombre se describe como hombre con piel
claro, estatura mediana y mide
dentro 5'10" y 6'0" píes de alto. Tiene
cabello negro y usaba una camisa roja con pantalones azul. Este hombre fue se describe como alguien
dentro 20 o 30 años en edad. El departamento de policía de La Porte está
investigando este caso.
Tenemos que dar gracias que el estudiante salió
ileso. Les pido que tomen la oportunidad de hablar con sus hijos de la
importancia de estar seguros y de ser consciente. Por favor aconsejen a sus
hijos que si ellos tienen información de actividades que pueden resultar en un
compromiso peligroso para ellos o alguien más, que hablen con usted, o con un
adulto con quien tienen confianza.

favor llamen al director o directora de la escuela de su niño. También pueden
llamar al las oficinas de administración de el distrito de La Porte.
