Superintendent's letter about reports of individuals falsely claiming to represent La Porte ISD

Dear Parents:

We have become aware that non-district employees have attempted to market products or services to households in our area while claiming to represent La Porte ISD. A number of community members have reported that the individuals have tried to sell educational products and/or offered assistance in explaining handbooks.

Please be aware that these activities are neither directed by nor endorsed by La Porte ISD. We are actively working with the La Porte Police Department as it investigates the situation. If you are contacted in person at your home by individuals claiming to represent the school district, please report this information to the police department.

If you have other questions or concerns, please let us know. Thank you for your cooperation.

Estimados Padres:

Nos hemos enterado que empleados que no son del no-distrito han tratado de vender productos o servicios a casas en nuestra área pretendiendo representar a La Porte ISD. Varios miembros de la comunidad han informado que los individuos han tratado de vender productos educativos y/o ofrecido ayuda para explicar las guías.

Esté por favor enterado que estas actividades ni son dirigidas ni aprobadas por La Porte ISD. Trabajamos activamente con la Policía de La Porte que investiga la situación. Si usted es contactado en persona en su casa por individuos que dicen representar al distrito escolar, por favor reporte esta información al departamento de policía.

Si tiene otras preguntas o preocupaciones, por favor permítanos saberlo. Gracias por su cooperación.
