Early voting to be held April 26 through May 4 for LPISD Board of Trustees Election
Monday, April 26th, 2010

Early voting will be held April 26 through May 4 for the upcoming La Porte ISD Board of Trustees election.

Early voting will be held weekdays at the City Halls of La Porte, Morgan's Point and Shoreacres.  La Porte residents also may cast their votes from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 1, at La Porte City Hall.

Candidates Dee Ann Thomson and Bill Fennell are vying for the Position 7 slot, and incumbent Charlcya Wheeler and write-in candidate Jose Rene Lozano are running for Position 6.  Candidate Lee Wallace and Jim Schul, who currently holds Position 7, are in the race for the two-year unexpired term for Position 4, now held by Gene Horn.

Election day is May 8, and the polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.  Election day voting locations include the Baker Sixth Grade Campus, College Park Elementary, and the City Halls of La Porte, Shoreacres and Morgan's Point.
