La Porte’s Kendrick Perkins drafted by Boston Red Sox

La Porte High School 2010 graduate Kendrick Perkins was drafted by the Boston Red Sox with the 203rd pick on the second day of the Major League Baseball draft.
Kendrick, who excelled in both baseball and football as a Bulldog, was selected in the sixth round of the draft.
The Bulldog outfielder was a unanimous First Team All-District Selection his senior year and earned numerous other athletic honors in baseball and football while at LPHS. The son of Kevin and Felita Perkins, Kendrick has signed to play baseball at Texas A & M University. |
