The highest ranking seniors at La Porte High School were honored at the Top 100 Academic Achievers dinner held on Nov. 18 in the LPHS Student Center. The event was sponsored by the Bill and Helen Crowder Foundation.
Honorees were presented with hooded sweatshirts acknowledging their accomplishments. Members of the Board of Directors representing the Crowder Foundation at the dinner were Marilyn Sims, president-elect, and Beverly Lively, secretary.
Remarks were made by Lloyd W. Graham, LPISD superintendent of schools; Bill Snead, president of the LPISD Board of Trustees; and Dr. Joanne Kolius, LPHS principal.
Among the top 100 students are Elizabeth Adams, Joe Alanis, Grant Alexander, Joshua Allsep, Lacey Austin, Alexander Bello, Sarah Billington, Madalye Bowerman, Kacey Brock, Kiara Brooks, Alexis Canales, Brittany Cashi, Paola Castillo, Hannah Chambers, Jordan Coe, Kayla Cordova, Lauren Corry, Rafael Deaquino, Ashley DeCorte and Jill Dozier.
The honorees also included Kolten Dunkerson, Allen Ellison, Khadijah Erskine, Shelby Fox, Angelica Fuentes, Giovanni Fuentes, Brelan Garcia, Solomon Garcia, Bethany Garza, William Gatlin, Tyla Gibbs, Melanie Gomez, Emily Gonzales, Yazmin Gonzalez, James Grigsby, Nicholas Hamilton, Kaitlyn Henderson, Jillian Humphrey, Elizabeth Huynh and Hannah Hyde.
In addition, those honored were Cody Johnson, Christopher Kimball, Kelsey Kincaid, Samantha Lee, Jaclyn Lowery, Mayra Lucio, Karynn Marchal, Joseph Marks, Cody Martin, Phillip Matczak, Cameron Maxwell, Jordan McAnally, Elizabeth McCarther, Tara McClennen, Taylor McElroy, Tyler McElroy, Jeremy McNeal, Karma McPhee, Kevin Medina and Danielle Mikeska.
