Lomax Elementary is a National Blue Ribbon School Nominee

 Lomax Elementary School staff were honored at the Feb. 8 meeting of the LPISD Board of Trustees in recognition of the campus being nominated as a National Blue Ribbon School for 2011. Lomax was chosen by Texas Commissioner of Education Robert Scott as one of the 26 highest performing campuses in Texas, selected from among 8,435 Texas schools. Campuses recommended for nomination are selected through analysis of student assessment data. The announcement of the 2011 National Blue Ribbon Schools will be made in September 2011, and honorees will be recognized at a ceremony in Washington, D.C. |
