The La Porte High School junior varsity girls' track team had an outstanding day at the District Track Meet held at West Brook High School in Beaumont April 7.
"It was a total team effort with the team scoring in every event entered," said track coach Joel Fagan. "The team earned 181 points compared to Port Arthur Memorial's 124. Dora Reynosa was the only double winner, taking first place in both the 3200 in 13:11 and the 1600 in 6:10 under very windy conditions."
