The School Nutrition Department will allow students without funds in cash or in their accounts to charge up to the value of:
10 days of meals for grades PK-6
5 days of meals for grades 7-12
Once this charge limit is exceeded the student will be offered a complimentary alternate meal consisting of toast and milk for breakfast or a cheese sandwich, fruit and milk for lunch. Students will not be allowed to charge a la carte items nor will be allowed to purchase a la carte if they have a negative balance.
Students will receive written notice from the cashier to take home and parents will receive a follow-up phone call from the cafeteria manager if payment has not been received after 2 notices. Parents will also receive a weekly reminder call via the district's automated phone call system.
Parents have the option of sending cash or check payments directly to the cafeteria or by making payments on line at www.myschoolbucks.com.
