PROJECT GRADUATION La Porte High School Class of 2013 Dear Parents, Congratulations! As the proud parent of a 2013 La Porte High School graduating senior, you already realize that the senior year will be packed with much activity, emotion, stress, and hopefully lots of good memories and will end with one of life’s big events-graduation! The purpose of this letter is to make you aware of a special celebration that has become a 23 year tradition at LPHS and to ask for your participation. Project Graduation 2013 is an all-night, drug-free, alcohol-free, fun-filled, parent-sponsored party provided for our senior class the night of graduation. We want to give our seniors a great graduation party filled with lots of fun, food, prizes and entertainment in a safe school environment and help make their final memories of LPHS the absolute best! Project Graduation 2013 happens the night of graduation from 11 pm on Friday, June 7th until 5 am on Saturday, June 8th at IT’Z . Upon arriving for the event, students’ cars are valet-parked and an attendant securely holds their keys. To ensure their safety, once inside the facility, the students are “locked in” until time to leave on Saturday morning. The event will include all night: casino games, music, go carts, glow in the dark bowling, laser tag, bumper cars, arcade games, movies and an endless supply of food and drinks. As you might imagine, an event of this magnitude is only possible with the help of many volunteers and the donation of thousands of dollars. Planning has already started but your help and support is vital to the success of Project Graduation 2013. There is something for everyone to do between now and June 7th…...and much help is also needed on graduation night. Project Graduation meetings will be in the LPHS student center. We value your ideas and help! We welcome all senior and junior parents, friends, relatives and community members to get involved in some way. Remember, Project Graduation 2013 is a celebration for our graduates! It is a great way to show them we are proud of all they have accomplished and wish them well as they enter a new phase of their lives. We hope you will join us in preparing for this very special celebration! Sincerely, Becky Chaplin, ChairmanNatalie Elfstrom, Co-ChairmanStephanie Cox, LPHS Asst.
